PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine a liquid sump occurring in a workpiece to be performed dipping treatment and propriety of a discharge hole of the liquid sump without requiring any complicated fluid analysis. SOLUTION: In this simulation method, an analysis model is constructed by dividing workpiece shape data into a plurality of elements in a model construction part 10a, and in a liquid sump determination part 10b, presence/absence of a liquid sump of immersion liquid is determined from an attribute decided based on a gravity directional position relationship between the respective elements. When there is a liquid sump, in a liquid sump volume calculation part 10c, a liquid sump volume is calculated based on an area of a horizontal liquid surface, which is formed by correcting a boundary between an element having an attribute decided as a gas attribute and an element having an attribute decided as a liquid attribute, and the gravity directional height of the liquid surface, and in a liquid discharge time calculation part 10d, a liquid discharge time for discharging liquid of the liquid sump volume is calculated based on a workpiece conveyance condition. In this way, the liquid sump occurring in a workpiece to be dipped and propriety of the ejection hole of the liquid sump can be determined without requiring any complicated fluid analysis.
