PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an increase in communication traffic in inter-vehicle communication. SOLUTION: This inter-vehicle communication device includes: a communicable vehicle detecting means 14 for detecting a vehicle with which one's own vehicle can communicate; an information discontinuity determination means 22 for determining whether or not information from a specified vehicle is continuously received; a communicable vehicle information addition means 18 for adding information of a vehicle detected by the communicable vehicle detecting means 14 to information transmitted to a second vehicle by a transmission means 12; and a second communicable vehicle detecting means 15 for detecting a vehicle which exists around the specified vehicle and can communicate with one's own vehicle, wherein when the information discontinuity determination means 22 determines that the information from the specified vehicle is not continuously received, the vehicle detected by the second communicable vehicle detecting means 15 is assigned for a relay vehicle to transmit the information to one's own vehicle, and the relay vehicle assigned for the relay vehicle relays the information.
