PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DNA amplification detecting method capable of immediately detecting whether amplification exists or not in a reaction tube after amplification reaction without requiring treatment of electrophoresis, etc. SOLUTION: The method for detecting DNA amplification comprises advancing DNA amplification reaction in the presence of microcapsules each including an aqueous dye solution specifically reacting with DNA in a paraffin wax having a melting point higher than a temperature of DNA amplification reaction, releasing the aqueous dye solution specifically reacting with DNA from microcapsules by heating the reaction solution after DNA amplification reaction and detecting existence or absence or the degree of existence of DNA amplification, based on color change of the reaction solution.
