A system to capture a remote RFID electro magnetic interrogation of a warehouse or distribution center environment through the propitious use of an external directional antenna. A method of manufacturing said external directional antenna from a composite of aluminum shavings and ceramic powders. This remote RFID electro magnetic interrogation signal is contemplated to emanate from a cellular telephone transmission tower transmitting in the ultra high frequency or microwave band. This electro magnetic RFID interrogation signal is harvested by the external directional antenna and relayed to a ceiling mounted transformer/amplifier/antenna unit located within the confines of the warehouse or distribution center. The initial signal is modulated and re-radiated within the environment to resonate with the frequencies of the RFID passive transponders to be interrogated. The data obtained using the industry standard backscatter methodology is then modulated and transmitted via ultra high frequency or microwave to the initial inquiry source.
