PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing apparatus accomplishing a detection of an occurrence of abnormality even when various varying factors exist in the electromagnetic induction method fixing apparatus.

SOLUTION: An output control part 21 in the fixing apparatus carries out control by outputting a control signal to an inverter circuit 11 according to power output by the inverter circuit 11. Assumed output voltage value and output frequency are associated with each other and stored in a storing part beforehand. Output detection parts 31 and 61 detect output power value and output frequency that are actually output from an inverter circuit 11 to a resonance circuit 3. Decision is made that the abnormality has occurred when at least one of a deviation between the assumed output voltage value and the output voltage value detected by the output detection part 31 and a deviation between an assumed output frequency and the output frequency detected by the output detection part 61 is outside a reference range.
