<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a concept for efficiently detecting narrowband interference so as to reduce narrowband interference. <P>SOLUTION: A receiver apparatus 100 detects narrowband interference in a multi-carrier reception signal being comprised of a plurality of sub-carriers and having a structure of sequential time frames. The receiver apparatus 100 comprises a means 110 for transforming a first composed reception signal, which is based on a first transmission signal having sub-carriers with a predefined amplitude, and a second composed reception signal, which is based on the first transmission signal, to the frequency domain. The receiver apparatus 100 further comprises a means 120 for detecting narrowband interference by comparing a spectral difference between the first composed reception signal spectrum and the second composed reception signal spectrum or a shifted version of the second composed reception signal spectrum to a detection threshold, and a means 130 for canceling a sub-carrier in the first or second composed signal spectrum, if the intensity of the sub-carrier of the spectral difference is above the detection threshold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
