PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control floating height and position of a magnetic head from a recording surface of a magnetic disk with high accuracy. SOLUTION: On the same surface of a suspension 5 where a slider 6 is mounted, a thin film actuator 7 is arranged in the longitudinal direction of the suspension 5. Herewith, the thin film actuator 7 can be formed on a printed circuit board 5a, and a resonance frequency of the suspension 5 is reduced so that a gap between the magnetic head 6a and the magnetic disk 1 can be controlled and the slider 6 on which the magnetic head 6a is mounted can be positioned with high accuracy.
