PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake control device for an internal combustion engine capable effectively using the inertia supercharging effect even in the internal combustion engine wherein each of intake control valves of a plurality of cylinders disposed adjacently is provided in a state of being coupled to the same shaft as another intake control valve so as to open and close at a same phase. SOLUTION: The intake control device is equipped with: intake valves provided to each of the cylinders S1 to S4; the intake control valves provided in intake passages extending to each of the intake valves; and a control means for controlling opening and closing of the intake valves and the intake control valves. The intake control valves of the plurality of the cylinders S1, S2, or S3, S4 are provided in a state of being coupled to the same shaft as another intake control valve so as to open and close at the same phase. For each of the cylinders S1 to S4, the control means performs the inertia supercharging control for closing the plurality of intake control valves coupled to the same shaft when the intake valves are open, opening the intake control valves after the intake valves are open, and closing the intake control valves before the intake valves are closed.
