PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generation system capable of maintaining the percentage of the supplied heat amount of sub fuel gas to a gas engine to a predetermined percentage or less allowing safe operation constantly without special control. SOLUTION: The power generation system 1 operates the gas engine 2 by carrying out mixed combustion of main fuel gas F1 and the sub fuel gas F2, and operates a power generator 11. The sub fuel gas F2 after having the pressure set by a pressure regulator 61 is supplied to the gas engine 2 via a first mixer 7A by suction force upon combustion air A flowing into the first mixer 7A. By regulating an opening of a throttle valve 51 according to a target output of the power generator 11 by a control means 8, the required amount of heat for the target output which is insufficient with only the sub fuel gas 2 is compensated by the main fuel gas F1. The percentage of the supply flow rate of the sub fuel gas F2 with respect to the total supply flow rate of the main fuel gas F1 and the sub fuel gas F2 to the gas engine 2 is maintained at an initially set percentage or less.
