PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock-absorbing packing material capable of preventing a TV receiver from being brought into direct contact with a floor even when a corrugated fiberboard box with the TV receiver being packed therein is dropped with its corner part or its corner ridge part being downward. SOLUTION: The shock-absorbing packing material has first grooves 41 each formed in a portion of the interior face 211 of a first wall 21 in connection with an interior face 221 of a second wall 22, and second grooves 42 each formed in a portion of the interior face 211 of the first wall 21 in connection with an interior face 231 of a third wall 23.
