PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cargo carrying apparatus which can control the operation speed of hydraulic cylinders by changing the rotational speed of the engine for driving a vehicle according to circumstances in the cargo carrying apparatus which makes respective groups of floor plates move backward in order, all groups of the floor plates move forward at the same time by operating the hydraulic cylinders, and also the operating speeds of the hydraulic cylinders change according to the rotational speed of the engine for driving the vehicle. SOLUTION: The apparatus for carrying the cargos comprises sensors A1, B1, C1 for detecting that the groups of the floor plates have been positioned at the backward end portion, and a control means for controlling the change of the operation of the hydraulic cylinders 13A, 13B, 13C of the respective groups of the floor plates from the signals detected by the sensors A1, B1, C1 such that the backward movement of the next group of the floor plates to be moved backward next is started after the backward movement of one group of the floor plates to the backward end portion has been finished, and further the forward movement of all groups of the floor plates is started after the backward movement of all groups of the floor plates have been finished.
