The method involves continuously recording image data of an object by a magnetic resonance (MR) tomography method. Different phases of a motion cycle of the object are temporally extracted from the image data recorded by the MR tomography method. The image data of the object is recorded by a single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) method. The image data recorded by the SPECT method is assigned to the different phases of the motion cycle.
