A mold rectifier includes: a plurality of rectifier pieces formed from copper or a copper alloy and arranged on a circumference; a disc-shaped spark absorption element having an identical number of front surface electrodes and rear surface electrodes on the front surface and the rear surface of the disc shape; and a resin mold unit which forms them into a unitary block. The rectifier pieces have front surface junction rectifier pieces and rear surface junction rectifier pieces which are alternately arranged in the circumferential direction, so that spark voltage generated in the rectifier pieces is absorbed by current flowing between the front surface electrodes and the rear surface electrodes of the spark absorption element.
