A device for cleaning a filter cloth (13) in a filter (1 ) comprises a fl ushing ramp (20), on which at least one spray nozzle (21) is arranged. The s pray nozzle (21 ) is arranged to spray a cleaning fluid onto the filter clot h (13) in a direction opposite a filtering direction. The flushing ramp (21) has a driving device (30, 31 ) for moving the flushing ramp (20) along the longitudinal direction (L) of the rotary disc filter (1 ) during cleaning. A method of cleaning a filter cloth (13) in a filter (1 ) is also described.
