<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it is necessary to secure safety by performing optical processing such as the adjustment of light intensity of a variable attenuator, an amplifier or the like only for confirming whether an optical communication network can be restored or not even if optical communication is not executed. <P>SOLUTION: The optical transmission apparatus is provided with: a first optical module having a light source for outputting a laser beam; a second optical module having a light source for outputting a laser beam of a wavelength different from that of the first optical module; an optical fiber for inputting the laser beams; an optical coupler for multiplexing the laser beams and inputting the multiplexed laser beam to the optical fiber; and an optical amplifier for collectively processing the laser beams. The optical transmission apparatus is also provided with an ALS device for controlling the input of the output of the laser beam from the first optical module and the output of the laser beam from the second optical module to the optical fiber through the optical coupler so that respective laser beams are not superposed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
