<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting unit which can extract light efficiently and illuminate uniformly an illumination region and can be manufactured in a low cost and to provide a lighting system. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting system 100 is composed of a cylindrical member 10, a light source 20, an end face member 30, terminal plates 40a, 40b, wires 41a, 41b, a pipe 50 and end caps 60a, 60b. The cylindrical member 10 is provided with a lot of inner projected portions 11 which are made belt-like shape in a widthwise direction with predetermined distances against a lengthwise direction of an inner circumferential surface and have a prism effect with sharp top ends, and in the outer circumferential surface of the cylindrical member 10, a lot of outer surface convex portions which are made belt-like shape in a widthwise direction with predetermined distances against a lengthwise direction are provided in positions corresponding to the inner projected portions 11 and which have a lens effect. Moreover, a bottom side between the inner projected portions 11 is formed in a curved surface of a semicircle and the inner projected portion 11 is triangular and the top end has an acute angle of 30 degrees or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
