<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the authentication device and method of an IC card having high security at low costs. <P>SOLUTION: This authentication device 1 is configured to read personal information stored in a storage medium 2 owned by an identified person, and to prepare the pseudo information of the invisible information in the read personal information.
