PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring network system and a data backup method, not allowing a load to concentrate upon a host during operation in an active system, in a monitoring system wherein a redundant host configuration is further duplicated. SOLUTION: In this monitoring network system, a management control part 12 of a monitoring host 1A of active-system monitoring equipment performs difference processing of data collected by a data collection part processing part 11 with a shared memory 1M, and transfers them to a management control part 12 of a standby-system monitoring host 1B via an internal LAN 14. The management control part 12 of the monitoring host 1B transfers them to a management control part 12 of a standby-system monitoring host 2B of spare-system monitoring equipment via a monitoring control network NW, and inter-system processing is performed.The management control part 12 of the monitoring host 2B transfers the transferred data to a management control part 12 of a standby-system operation-system monitoring host 2A, and the management control part 12 of the monitoring host 2A performs the difference processing of the transferred data to equalize contents of a shared memory 2M with the shared memory 1M.
