PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify set-up operation, of a plurality of laser exposure sections, in an image forming apparatus using the plurality of laser exposure sections for scanning. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with: a test print means (original data obtaining and processing section 500); a density measuring means (measurement data obtaining section 503); a calculation means (correction value calculating section 502) which calculates the variation amount of the density of a test pattern and a correlation correction amount so that the exposure amounts of the other exposure beams coincide with the density of an image printed by the exposure beam of one laser exposure section 12, according to the variation amount and stores the calculated variation amount and correlation correction amount in a storage means (correlation storage section 602); and a correction means (image processing section 2032) which corrects the exposure amount of the exposure beam of one laser exposure section 12 by the variation amount and the exposure amounts of the exposure beams of the other laser exposure sections 11 and 13 by using the correlation correction amount stored in the storage means.
