PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifugal oil separator for sufficiently removing oil or oil mist from blow-by gas. SOLUTION: The oil separator is arranged inside a rocker cover 3 above an internal combustion engine. It comprises a first separation chamber 1 of a centrifugal separation type and a second separation chamber 2 having a separation plate. The first separation chamber 1 has a circular flow path 11 in which blow-by gas flows. In an inner wall face 11w outward in the radial direction of the circular flow path 11, a recessed portion 12 is formed extending in the vertical direction.
