PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent breakage of an electric power element and/or a battery caused by drop of battery voltage. SOLUTION: This motor control drive device controls/drives a motor axially connected to a rotary shaft of a turbocharger and assists rotation of the turbocharger, is provided with an electric power conversion circuit converting direct current electric power supplied from an external battery to alternating current electric power and driving the motor, a control circuit controlling the electric power conversion circuit, and an electric current limit means limiting direct current supplied from the battery to a predetermined upper limit or less.
