PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve compression performance of a centrifugal compressor for transonic fluid. SOLUTION: This impeller 10 is used for the centrifugal compressor. An angleβformed by a leading edge 12LE on a tip side of a sub blade 12 provided to the impeller 10 and a straight line LN orthogonal to a rotary shaft Zr of a hub 13 is 35°or more and 55°or less. Further, a distance LB between a leading edge 11LE of a main blade 11 on the hub 13 side and the leading edge 12LE of the sub blade 12 is 1.5 times or more but 2.0 times or less of a distance LA between the leading edge 11LE of the main blade 11 on the tip side and the leading edge 12LE of the sub blade 12.
