PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oscillating piston type reciprocating compressor capable of achieving a long service life by reducing inclination of a seal member and making the seal member uniformly contact with an inner face of a cylinder with high-load applied to the seal member so as to prevent local wear and of improving compression efficiency by reducing a gap between the cylinder and the seal member so as to prevent air leakage. SOLUTION: When a piston 14 is at a bottom dead center, a top face S of a head part 12 of the piston 14 which is a seal plane S along the annular seal member 6 is inclined to a plane vertical to the central axis of the cylinder 1.
