PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of improving the durability for ply separation, ride quality, and low rolling resistance when the tire has low flatness. SOLUTION: A buffering part 42 is provided in a wing cap 40 having lower hardness than hardness of a cap tread 31 to let it enter between the cap tread 31 and an undertread 35. Consequently, it is possible to increase height FH of a side flexible zone 65 and prevent stress concentration. In addition, by providing the buffering part 42 in a wing tip 40, it is possible to reduce hardness of the whole section close to a shoulder part 16 and improve ride quality. Since the cap tread 31 is partially substituted for the wing cap 40 having low cap tread rubber ratio hysteresis, rolling resistance is reduced. As a result, the durability for ply separation, ride quality, and low rolling resistance when the tire has low flatness can be improved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
