PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simply formed electric power steering device in which an output shaft is press-fitted to a worm wheel and the worm wheel is prevented from being rotated relative to the output shaft. SOLUTION: This electric power steering device comprises the worm wheel 23 in which the output shaft 21 is fixedly press-fitted into a cylindrical part 22a. A large number of ridges extending in the radial direction are annularly-distributedly formed on one of the side surface of the hollow cylindrical part 22a of the worm wheel 23 and the side surface 21c of the output shaft 21 side flange part 21d in contact with the side surface when the output shaft 21 is press-fitted. A rib-shaped projection 22b elastically deformed by the press-contact of the ridges thereon during the press-fitting is formed on the other side surface oppositely to the ridges.
