An alarm device comprises a housing, a detector, a printed circuit assembly, and a speaker. The detector generates a detector signal according to the designated ambient conditions obtained from a ventilation hole at the bottom of the housing. The assembly judges whether an alarm is to be issued or not according to the detection signal. When the assembly judges that an alarm is to be issued, it generates an alarm signal. The speaker converts the alarm signal into a corresponding sound. The housing contains the detector, the speaker, and the assembly, which are arranged in that order upward from the ventilation hole in the direction of the center axis of the ventilation hole. |
