PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of forming a light reflecting surface on a substrate for liquid crystal display panel.

SOLUTION: The method comprises a process of forming the light reflecting surface by: disposing a mask 90 on a substrate 100 for liquid crystal display panel; forming a photoresist layer on the mask; applying and exposing light to the photoresist layer from the substrate side; developing the photoresist layer after exposure; deforming the developed photoresist layer; forming a surface provided with ruggedness on the surface of the photoresist layer; and disposing the light reflective layer on the surface provided with the ruggedness.
