<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a fired product using waste plastic, in which the concentration of chlorine in the fired product is controlled to be low even when the waste plastic contains a chlorine-containing synthetic resin in the manufacture of the fired product of quick lime, fired dolomite or the like using the waste plastic as fuel for a firing furnace such as a rotary kiln. <P>SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing the fired product using the waste plastic, the waste plastic C containing the chlorine-containing resin as a part of the fuel A is used in the manufacture of heating and firing a raw material in the firing furnace by the combustion of the fuel A, and a surface layer part of the fired product after fired is removed to remove at least a part of a chlorine compound in the fired product.
