PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trailing arm suspension which is easily processed and welded and in which sealability is easily secured. SOLUTION: A torsion beam 4 is formed of a hollow member. A recessed part 6 formed by collapsing the middle part of the hollow member radially inward is formed in the torsion beam 4. A trailing arm 1 is formed hollow, and formed by abutting a pair of arm members 12, 14 divided in the lateral direction of a vehicle body on each other along the axial direction of the trailing arm 1. The end surface of the torsion beam 4 is formed flat. A flat surface 14a on which the end surface of the torsion beam 4 is allowed to abut is formed on the trailing arm 1. The end surface of the trailing beam 4 is made to abut on the flat surface 14a of the trailing arm 1 and they are welded to each other. In this case, a recessed part 6 is formed in the torsion beam 4 by press forming. The trailing arm 1 is formed by abutting, on each other, the pair of arm members 12, 14 press-formed in substantially U-shape in cross section. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
