PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting edge mechanism for food in a simple structure capable of attaining "leveling" and easily cleaned. SOLUTION: A rotating shaft is horizontally supported in a housing. The rotating shaft is connected to one end of a rotating arm in a direction perpendicular to the axial direction of the rotating shaft. A cutting edge mounting part is provided on the other end of the rotating arm. A cutting edge in a slender plate shape is mounted on the cutting edge mounting part so that the cutting edge is disposed inside a plane in such a direction as to cross the direction of the rotating arm and perpendicular to the axial direction of the rotating shaft. Further, the connecting direction of the cutting edge to the rotating arm lags behind the rotating direction of the rotating arm.
