A power conversion device includes: three sets of half bridge inverters (4a to 4c) formed by two series switching elements and connected between output terminals of a solar cell (1); single-phase inverters (5a to 5c) respectively connected in series to AC output lines of the half bridge inverters (4a to 4c); and two series capacitors (6a, 6b) which divide the voltage of the solar cell (1). Each of the output terminals of the single inverters (5a to 5c) is connected to each phase of a 3-phase system (2). The half bridge inverters (4a to 4c) operate by one pulse per half cycle. Each of the single-phase inverters (5a to 5c) performs PWM control so as to compensate the insufficient portion from the system voltage and outputs an output sum of the half bridge inverters (4a to 4c) and the single-phase inverters (5a to 5c) to the system (2).
