<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for promoting the improvement of turbine rotor efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: A turbine has a plurality of buckets 124, 126, 128, 130 with dovetails 208. The turbine includes turbine wheels 116, 118, 120, 122 having a plurality of holding slots 210 defined therein. Each of the plurality of holding slots is sized to receive each of the plurality of bucket dovetails. The turbine wheels each have one or more protruded portions extending from the turbine wheel to the outside. The turbine also has one or more cover plates 200, 501 connected to the turbine wheels and held on the turbine wheels at their proper positions via one or more protruded portions, and one or more fastening mechanisms 220 inserted into openings defined by the turbine wheels so that the cover plates are fixed to the turbine wheels to promote a reduction of dovetail leakage across the plurality of buckets adjacent to the cover plates. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
