<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for avoiding knock in the way of prohibiting the repetition of delaying an ignition timing to avoid knock, followed by advancing operation. <P>SOLUTION: The knock control device comprises a knock detecting means 47 for detecting whether knock is actually generated or not in a combustion chamber 5, a knock generation timing detecting means 47 for detecting a knock generation timing in the combustion chamber, a comparing means 31 for comparing a detected value for the knock generation timing with a predicted value for the knock generation timing, a knock correlation parameter estimated value calculating means 31 for calculating an estimated value for a knock correlation parameter in accordance with the comparison result and the knock detection result, a knock generation timing predicted value calculating means 31 for calculating a predicted value for the knock generation timing in accordance with the estimated value for the knock correlation parameter, a knock limit ignition timing calculating means 31 for calculating a knock limit ignition timing in accordance with the predicted value for the knock generation timing, and ignition executing means 31, 14 for performing spark ignition at the knock limit ignition timing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
