PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner of high appearance quality as it is free from a clearance at a boundary line between a badge and coating, and erosion of a print layer of the badge by a thinner included in a coating material is prevented. SOLUTION: This air conditioner comprises a panel 2 made of a transparent resin and having a recessed portion 11 on its back face, a double-faced adhesive tape 8 and a transparent sheet 7 are successively stuck to a bottom portion of the recessed portion 11, the badge 3 having the print layer 6 on its lower face and a protective sheet 4 on its upper face, is stuck to an upper layer of the transparent sheet 7, then the rear face is coated, and the protective sheet 4 is separated, thus the coating material closely flows into the boundary of a coated face and an outline of the badge 3, and the badge 3 is buried in the coating. Since the clearance is not found on the boundary line between the badge 3 and the coating, and further the print layer 6 of the badge is raised higher than the accumulation of the coating material 9 in coating the back face, by the transparent sheet 7, the print layer 6 is prevented from being eroded by a solvent such as the thinner included in the coating material 9, and the appearance quality is remarkably improved.
