PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning device capable of suppressing wear of a cleaning blade and stabilizing cleaning performance, and to provide an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The cleaning device is configured to bring the cleaning blade 62 in contact with a photoreceptor drum 2, then, recover toner 10 from the photoreceptor drum 2. Besides, the cleaning device 6 includes one electrode 63 disposed on the cut surface 62c of the cleaning blade 62. The electrode 63 is disposed in parallel with the axial direction of the photoreceptor drum 2. A DC power source is connected to the electrode 63, then, a desired DC bias is applied to the electrode 63. An electrical field is formed in the periphery of the cut surface 62c of the cleaning blade 62 with the application of the DC bias to the electrode 63. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
