PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure a covering depth easily, before placing a concrete, for a deep depth and a narrow section to which operator's hand does not reach and further for the section which a visual measurement can not perform. SOLUTION: The covering depth measuring device comprises a measuring part 20 which can measure whether the covering depth is not less than a prescribed value by inserting the measuring part 20 into a clearance between inside of a mold 50 and a reinforced bar 40 and moving the measuring part 20, and a strut 30 which is connected with the measuring part 20. The maximum width part of the measuring part 20 is setting with the prescribed covering depth. The strut 30 is operated and the maximum width part is moved within the clearance between inside of the mold 50 and the reinforced bar 40, if this maximum width part of the measuring part 20 can be passed, it is judged that the covering depth is not less than a prescribed value.
