PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of materials handled as radioactive wastes in a waste cable, and to increasing filling density of a disposal drum as to a waste cable part handled as radioactive wastes for reducing the amount of disposal drums. SOLUTION: A waste cable disposing device is constituted of a first canister 11 housing a waste cable 20 and having a melt discharge hole 19; a second canister 12, which houses the vicinity of the melt discharge hole in the first canister at least and can be stored inside a disposal drum 21; and a high-frequency induction heating furnace 15, arranged in association with the first canister for heating the organic material of the waste cable housed in the first canister and melting it. When the molten organic material is discharged into the second canister from the melt discharge hole, metallic materials of the waste cable are separated into the first canister 11, while the organic material is separated into the second canister 12.
