PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spent fuel storage rack which makes it possible to drastically reduce the volume of a lattice body to be welded by applying boron-added stainless steel filled with boron of a sufficient amount to absorb neutrons to a part of the lattice body. SOLUTION: The spent fuel storage rack 1 is equipped with a base 17, outer frames 3 placed on the upper sides of the base 17 and constituting the outermost circumference of the spent fuel storage rack 1 and the lattice body 2 provided in the outer frame 3 to form latticelike cells 2a. The lattice body 2 has a main lattice 4 whose height is equivalent to the active length of a fuel assembly, an upper lattice 5 placed in the upper part of the main lattice 4 and fitting onto the upper end of the main lattice 4 and a lower lattice 6 placed between the base 17 and the main lattice 4 and fitting onto the lower end of the main lattice 4. This enables the main lattice 4 to be formed without being welded and makes it possible to apply boron-doped stainless steel filled with boron of a sufficient amount to absorb neutrons as the main lattice 4.
