PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film separation method capable of forming a chemical conversion film in direct reaction on a steel sheet without interposing a dummy, and forming the chemical conversion film by a simple method. SOLUTION: The test piece 1 comprising: a substrate 2 composed of at least either chromium or aluminum; an oxide film 3 formed on the surface of the substrate 2; and an electroplated Ni film 4 formed on the surface of the oxide film 3 is prepared. A sample 7, in which an electroless plated Ni film 5 is formed on the electroplated Ni film 4 in the test piece 1 by electroless plating, is bent to break the electroplated Ni film 4 and the electroless plated Ni film 5, and the electroplated Ni film 4 and the electroless plated film 5 are peeled from the broken part.
