PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for purifying a poly 3-hydroxybutyrate-based polymer, by which the poly 3-hydroxybutyrate-based polymer excellent in color tone is obtained. SOLUTION: This method for purifying the poly 3-hydroxybutyrate-based polymer is characterized by leaving fine poly 3-hydroxybutyrate-based polymer particles on a filter in a container having the filter and then continuously supplying at least one solvent selected from methanol, ethanol and tetrahydrofuran and heated at 50 to 80°C on the fine poly 3-hydroxybutyrate-based polymer particles.
