An apparatus (100) is disclosed which has a media player (240), a local user inter face (220), which is a primary presentation resource for the media player. The apparatus (100) further comprises (207) a wireless communication interface, a media output port (209) for connection to a remote media presentation device (150,250) as a secondary presentation resource 'for the media player, and a controller (210). The controller (210) is configured for receiving a wireless signal via the wireless communication interface (207) from a remote control device (141) designed for controlling an external device other than the apparatus (100). The controller (210) is also configured for processing the received wireless signal to determine an action of the media player (240), and causing the media player (240) to perform the determined action and output a result of the action to the media output port (209) for presentation on the remote media presentation device (150,250) if connected. |
