A method for producing a reflectively coated trench (3) as an optical waveguide in optical rotary transformers comprises the steps of producing a trench (55) in a carrier structure (51), galvanically applying a reflective layer by means of a forming anode (52), which has a contour corresponding to the contour of the trench, and rolling the surface in order to reduce the surface roughness. The forming anode is designed in such a way that said anode is spaced at a greater distance from the edges (54) of the trench contour than to the surfaces of the trench (55). In one embodiment a barrier layer, preferably of nickel, is applied before the application of the reflective layer. The application is preferably achieved galvanically. The barrier layer prevents diffusion and thus an impairment of the reflective characteristics. |
