An electric compressor provided with an integral inverter, having provided in a compressor housing a motor drive circuit that incorporates a motor and includes the inverter. At least some of electric parts including the motor drive circuit are coated in an assembled state with a resin material of a predetermined thickness by, for example, pouring of a liquid resin and draining of excess resin. In the electric compressor, a resin coating structure of the motor drive circuit is simplified, is easily coated with resin, is reduced in weight by reducing the amount of resin, and is reduced in cost.
