<p>It is possible to provide a system which can perform distance measuring and positioning without using an atomic clock or a base station synchronized with the atomic clock, or a reflected wave, a sound wave, or a wide-band communication. A multiband transceiver includes means for simultaneously performing transmission and reception by using two or more different frequencies. The multiband transceiver includes: a first local oscillator for generating a first frequency; a second local oscillator for generating a second frequency; phase difference setting means for setting a first phase difference in the transmission signal and the first local oscillator output; phase difference detection means for detecting a second phase difference as a phase difference between the reception signal and the second local oscillator output; and calculation means which calculates a distance to a communication partner according to a third phase difference set to the second frequency by the communication partner and reported from the communication partner, a fourth phase difference set to the first frequency by the communication partner, and the first and the second phase difference.</p> |
