<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication device provided with a small-capacity battery, which transmits data in consideration of maximization of a battery duration time or minimization of a transmission completion time of fixed-size data, and to provide a program and a data transmission method. <P>SOLUTION: Data transmission is performed in a series of intermittent transmission periods (Tn+Tr) consisting of data transmission periods Tn and pause periods Tr. The wireless communication device includes: a cumulative current consumption measuring means which accumulates currents i consumed by the battery in data transmission periods Tn to measure a cumulative current consumption Σi; a pause period calculation means which calculates pause periods Tr on the basis of an average current x in a preliminarily determined intermittent transmission period, the cumulative current consumption Σi, and the data transmission periods Tn; and a data transmission control means which performs such control that data are taken out from a transmission buffer on the basis of the data transmission periods Tn and the pause periods Tr. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
