<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power unit capable of starting power supply to a load at proper timing based on the finish of pre-charge by a low-cost method, eliminating the risk of inflow of a large current into a control circuit. <P>SOLUTION: The power unit 4 is provided with a photocoupler 13. The input LED 13a of the photocoupler 13 is connected so as to emit light, based on the current flowing into a constant current circuit 14, allowing the output photo transistor 13b of the photo-coupler 13 to be turned on/off, corresponding to the light emitted from the input LED 13a. A battery ECU 12 is so arranged as to input a pre-charge finish signal S1, corresponding to the on/off of the output photo transistor 13b. The battery ECU 12 decides the finishing of the pre-charge of the smoothing capacitor 5b, based on the pre-charge finish signal S1 and outputs a closing signal to close a positive side contactor 8, to start power supplying to an inverter 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
