<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device for an inexpensive automatic sliding door of a space-saving structure which can be opened/closed manually in case of electric power failure. <P>SOLUTION: A helical-shaped rotary shaft 8 is inserted into a guide case 6 of substantially C-shaped cross section provided on an upper part of a sliding door 1 and is connected with a driving motor 11. Also, the sliding door 1 has a moving element 13 engaging with a spiral wire 4 of the helical-shaped rotary shaft 8 exposed from the guide case 6 so as to open/close the sliding door 1. A short shaft 5 whose end is threaded and the spiral wire 4 whose end is tightly wound are screwed and held together for forming the helical-shaped rotary shaft 8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
