PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for rendering material form capable of realizing sufficient processing speed at a machining simulation while maintaining its machining precision. SOLUTION: In the device for rendering material form, a XY surface of a three-dimensional space including a material profile is divided into first cells 51; the first cell 51 is divided into second cells 53; a hierarchy group 59 in the Z direction is created at every first cell 51, and Z value information 55 determined at every second cell 53 is expressed by making use of a reference Z value information 65 of the hierarchy group 59 and binary information 61 for every hierarchy. In the case of sea of cells style, the reference Z value information 65 of the hierarchy group 59 and binary information 61 of all hierarchies included in the hierarchy group 59 are used in particular. In the case of a compression style, the reference Z value information 65 of the hierarchy group 59, the hierarchy information 63 indicating whether or not it is a hierarchy including at least one of boundaries of the Z value information 55, and the binary information 61 of the hierarchy only including at least one of boundaries of the Z value information 55 are used.
