PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens module which can be made smaller and has a fast response time. SOLUTION: A voice coil motor lens module 20 has a lens holder 29 adapted to carry a lens or lens assembly. The lens holder 29 supports a coil 30 which interacts with a permanent magnet field generated by one or more permanent magnets 31 supported by a magnet yoke 33.
