PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent misregistration in the acquisition of rotary DSA (Digital Subtraction Angiography) images. SOLUTION: The X-ray imaging apparatus is equipped with an X-ray irradiation timing determination part 20 for controlling the acquisition rate of the image in an acceleration/deceleration region where an arm 3 is started or stopped so as to make the same almost same to the acquisition rate of the image in a constant speed region where the arm rotates at an almost constant speed. By this constitution, the misregistration caused by the angular shift of a mask image and a contrast image is reduced and, when the DSA image is reproduced in a real time, it can be observed as a natural image having no feeling of physical disorder.
